Night Blooming Flower is Available!

Night Blooming Flower is a deeply vulnerable manuscript inspired by the poet’s experience with intimate partner abuse trauma and recovery, marital separation and divorce, motherhood, feminism, and accepting her queer identity. In this collection, she explores the pain, courage, and complexities that come with love, loss, and self-discovery.

Kiss Moths

You feel a flutter in your darkest part. It has
always lived there, but you’ve never swallowed
enough courage or sat in silence long enough
to notice its steady wingbeats, until now.

Jamie’s writing is exquisite; filled with observation, wit, and glorious imagery. There is so much meaning here–layer upon layer of beauty and melancholy that just captivates the reader. Wherever this talented poet goes next, I’m going, too!

Whew. This is f*cking incredible. Your words are like lightning. Like a gut punch and a razor and I just love them so much. A pen in your hand is like combustible beauty.
